Brazil is now the newest country to join the global ICP 'family' with this weekend's course being the second one in the country this year, this time in São Paulo. The group of 9 skaters were mainly from São Paulo city and state but skaters once again travelled up to 6 hours from other cities to join the course.

The course included skaters who have been giving skate classes already as well as those new to instruction. Everyone was self-taught and most were already my online students from Youtube. I was glad to be able to give them a proper real live class, improve their skate skills and guide them through the process of becoming instructors.

I see them as pioneers in their country, leading the way for skate instruction being seen as a professional discipline with a structured methodology that encourages learning while promoting safety for all participants.

The 'Marquise' covered area in Ibirapuera Park provided a brilliant location with smooth surface and protection from the sun and rain. The skate scene is alive and growing in São Paulo and I look forward to doing a level 2 course here next year. Congratulations to them all!

O Brasil e agora o mais novo pais a juntar-se a familia global do ICP, com o curso desse final de semana em São Paulo. O grupo de 9 patinadores eram a maioria da cidade e estado de São Paulo, mas como sempre alguns viajaram ate 6 horas pra participar.

O curso incluiu patinadores que ja dao aulas e também novos instrutores. Todos aprenderam a patinar sozinhos e a maioria ja eram meus alunos online do Youtube. Fiquei feliz de dar a eles uma aula de verdade pessoalmente, melhorando as suas técnicas e guiando-os no processo de serem instrutores.
Eu os vejo como pioneiros no seu pais, liderando o caminho onde o ensino da patinação sera visto como uma disciplina profissional com uma metodologia estruturada, encorajando o aprendizado enquanto promovem a segurança de todos os participantes.

A Marquise do Ibirapuera foi um otimo local com um piso liso e protegido do sol e da chuva. A cena de patinacao esta viva e crecendo em São Paulo e espero fazer um curso ICP nivel 2 aqui no ano que vem. Parabens a todos!
