Over the last 25 years, the number of inline skaters has exploded around the world. To foster the growth of inline skating as a safe and fun activity, the Inline Certification Program (ICP) was formed.
Open to all Certified Skating (Inline, Roller, Ice), Ski instructors and coaches who are interested in providing instruction on snowskates.
This "theory only" course is offered through the ICP eLearning Academy and covers the basics of teaching inline skating and is the theoretical foundation for the full ICP Level 1 Program.
Introduction to Inline Skating is ideal for the personal trainer who wants to offer the cardiovascular, muscular, and weight loss benefits of inline skating to their clients. This course is approved for .9 continuing education points for all ACE certified instructors.
Level 1 is for the entry level instructor who wants to teach the fundamentals of inline skating: gliding, striding, stopping and turning.
Level 2 is for the experienced Level 1 instructor to further enhance class handling skills, problem solving and intermediate skating skill development.
The principal aim of Level 3 is to prepare experienced instructor candidates for a professional career in the inline skating industry.
The Slalom Instructor Program is open to all certified instructors that would like develop their ability to teach basic slalom skating techniques.
